Prerequisites & Registration

1. Admission of graduates of the bachelor programme Sculptural Conceptions / Ceramics:
Graduates of the bachelor programme Sculptural Conceptions / Ceramics are eligible for admission to the master programme within a period of 20 months starting with the completion of the bachelor examination.

2. Admission procedure for all other candidates
The admission procedure for the Master programme is composed of two parts:
2.a. Registration for the admission examination:

2.b: Submission of a portfolio:
A digital portfolio demonstrating a clear interest in the field of sculpture must be uploaded in the course of registering for the admission examination. It should include a sufficient number of works. Previous artistic development, the focus of activities as well as the applicant’s artistic disposition should feature prominently.

Based on the submitted portfolio, the examination board decides if candidates will be invited to an interview. Registrations and portfolios are assessed in the order in which they are received. Candidates are notified immediately. It is important to register online for the examination already at the beginning of the registration period and to submit the portfolio as soon as possible – especially for candidates from another country.

After positive evaluation of the portfolio, candidates receive an invitation to a personal interview at the University of Art and Design Linz which consists of the following parts:
- A copy of the portfolio must be brought to the interview.
