Prerequisites Admission to the bachelor programme Sculptural Conceptions / Ceramics requires artistic aptitude in the field of sculpture, which is confirmed by successful completion of an admission procedure. A certificate of university entrance qualifications is not required.
The admission examination consists of three parts: 1. Submission of a sample work folder / portfolio In the course of registering for the admission examination, a digital portfolio must be uploaded. It should include a sufficient number of works demonstrating artistic development, personal interests, the focus of activities and the applicant’s artistic disposition:
- drawings, graphic works, works using colours, paintings, illustrations etc.
- photographic documentation of already realised artistic works such as installations, sculptures, performances as well as weblinks to video or audio works.
Additionally, you may submit the following:
- Photographic works and written artistic concepts of as yet unrealised works.
All submitted works or documentation thereof should include the title, year of origin, size, technique and the artist’s name. The examination commission decides if an applicant will be invited to the examination (on-site work and interview) based on the submitted portfolio. Applicants will be notified.
2. On-site examination The on-site examination calls upon candidates to develop smaller artistic works on various set topics. Customary work materials (paper, pens, scissors, glue, computer, video camera, photo camera etc.) must be brought to the admission examination.
3. Admission interview The candidate presents the work samples created during the on-site examination and answers any questions in a personal interview with the board of examiners.
Note: Applicants must apply for admission to the programme after successful completion of the admission examination.
