In addition, you can also submit selected photographs, audio works, sketches, graphics or other works that you would like to show us.
Please upload the videos to a platform (such as YouTube, Vimeo, Nextcloud, etc.) with a password (not obligatory) and enter the corresponding links and information in the application system.
Please upload text documents, sketches and photos as PDF files.

The exam:
After the end of the application period, a pre-selection will take place on the basis of the work samples. When you enter the closer selection, you will receive a questionnaire, which you will send back to us by email with a letter of motivation. At the same time, we will also inform you of a test appointment, at which we will test the videoconference connection with all applicants.
At the beginning of the entrance examination, the tasks for the practical work are provided in a video conference. This tasks must be completed by the following day at 9 a.m. and must be submitted online.
After the upload, you will receive the specific date for the admission interview with the examination committee, which takes place either on the same day or on the following days.
Please bear in mind that you will need a computer and a video recording device to perform the assignment as part of the entrance examination!

Interest in (media) art, skills in working with professional image processing and vector graphics programs as well as the knowledge of German and English language are required.
Bringing your own notebook is absolutely necessary for studying in our department.

Are the themes of the videos or interactive works free to choose?
Yes. We are interested in what you are dealing with, what topics are of interest to you and how you like to work.
It can be narrative films, but also experimental works, animations, stop-motion films, cinematic observations, documentaries – everything is possible.
