Mit der fortlaufenden Porträtserie »That’s not us« wird der Zustand des Menschen erforscht. Eine komplizierte innere Konstruktion aus Sensibilität und Grausamkeit, Selbsttransformation und Dialog zwischen Teilen des Ganzen. Die Metamorphose von inneren Impulsen in die äußere Welt, die Neuerschaffung und Auflösung des Selbst und der Übergang von Wildtieren in die Kultur. Es wird versucht, das Wesen der menschlichen Grausamkeit und Angst zu verstehen und dabei in den dunkelsten Ecken des Bewusstseins nach Frieden gesucht. Einsamkeit, Isolation und Terror offenbaren sich durch Farben und Plastiken. Die Bilder dieser Serie sind farbenfroh und volumetrisch und verwandeln Spannung in Dekoration. Sie setzen die expressionistische Tradition fort und schaffen eine biotische Konstruktion.
Olga Shcheblykina (1986, Kamianske, Ukraine) ist bildende Künstlerin. Sie studiert derzeit an der Kunstuniversität in Linz. Ihr wichtigstes Medium ist die Malerei. Sie verwendet lebendige Farben und unruhige Texturen, um Grausamkeit, Verletzlichkeit, Körperlichkeit und feministische Themen zu vermitteln. In den Jahren 2021–2022 nahm sie an Gruppenausstellungen in Kunsträumen in Griechenland, Großbritannien und Österreich teil.

The ongoing series of portraits »That’s not us« explores the human condition. An intricate inner construction of pristine sensitivity and cruelty, self- transformation and dialogue between parts of the whole. The metamorphosis of internal impulses in the external world, re-creation and disintegration of the self, and the transition of wildlife into the culture. I explore and try to comprehend the nature of human ferocity, fear, and seek peace in the darkest corners of consciousness. Loneliness, isolation, and terror are revealed by colours and plastics. The paintings in this series are colorful and volumetric and transform tension into decoration. Continuing the expressionist tradition and creating a biotic construction. Mixing and sculpting with picturesque colourful oil paint. Olga Shcheblykina (1986, Kamianske, Ukraine) is a visual artist. She is currently studying at the University of Art and Design Linz. Her primary medium is painting. Olga employs vivid palettes and unsettled textures to communicate cruelty, vulnerability, corporeality, and feminist themes. In 2021 and 2022, Olga participated in group exhibitions in art spaces in Greece, the United Kingdom, and Austria.
