Is it possible to feel the Internet? In times of pandemic social change leads to much more digital and hybrid social and cultural interactions than expected ever before. Haptic-Technology, especially mid-air haptics will allow users to receive virtual tactile feedback without needing to wear or touch anything at all in computing systems or in the Metaverse. This opens endless new possibilities in overlapping physical and digital lives in human-computer interaction. Especially new generations, so called digital natives use unique technics to show what it is like and what will be possible in communication in the future. In the Case Study for this dissertation there will be shown with a video documentation how digital natives can touch and feel digital with mid-air haptics on interactive art. The effects of this new immersive environments allow for hopeful and optimistic eudaimonic media experiences.
