The processes of vibrating membrane surfaces of those foils are cut, composed and welded them with at high frequency into flawless and soft art. objects.
johannes_steininger_m.a._m_a_’s air-filled three-dimensional wall works, in which soft synthetic films penetrate each other and at the same time contain the acoustic space of its „natural frequencies“, the soft neomaterial serves as a methodical starting point with the fluid medium | AIR . AIR becomes an intensification of materiality, which thus assumes a physically perfect form or is deformed on the surface. It struggles equally with the possibilities of sculptural action as well as with the architectural, acoustic and auditory framework of its space_presentation. air:_luft:_plastics are decisions to represents the expressions to shape/form and materiality with the omnipotent medium AIR embedded in a historical context.
Kurz-Biographie / Short Bio
I try a different approach to the art world by studying space and design strategies in AUT. & acoustic communication at the University of Art Berlin and then diving deeply into the field of visual contemporary art. So my visual and auditory perception along with my continuous creative process is strongly influenced by the things I have learned in several art projects and jobs. My creative style is affected by my Theatre background too. I am fascinated by the exploration of new forms with the cultural material plastic film and the omnipotent medium of air.
