Philippos Theocharidis studied Electronic music and Electronics (BSc, Keele UK), Music Technology (MA, Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, UK) and Human-computer Interaction in Electronic Music (PhD, Ionian University, Corfu, Greece). He has taught Electronic Music, Sound Recording and Computer Interaction for Musical Applications at the University of Macedonia, the Ionian University and the Technological Institute of the Ionian Islands, currently at the Hellenic Mediterranean University. He is also active as a recording and live sound engineer and a sound designer for theatre. He has been lead technician / co-organiser for numerous electroacoustic music concerts utilizing multi-speaker arrangements for sound diffusion. His compositional and improvisation work, mostly interactive electronic music, has been performed in various festivals including the Electroacoustic Music Days, SMC, Echopolis, Salford Sonic Fusion Festival, Electric Nights, Across the Great Divide, Human – Machine Improvisation (Onassis Cultural Center), di.p.art, 11th Audiovisual Arts Festival (Athens Concert Hall – Megaron).
