Carlotta Borcherding explores as an artist the possibilities of different media rethinking performative art within a digital context.
Environment (Umgebung) is an interactive space dealing with the deconstruction of a static environment through movement translating it into an organic and vibrant space. Longing for one’s own space means creating a collective space. The performance visualizes the dynamic between two identities and how their interaction with each other forms and shapes their surrounding environment. Eventually we find peace as we belong to each other because we belong to ourselves.
Environment (Umgebung) ist ein interaktiver Raum, der sich mit der Dekonstruktion einer statischen Umgebung beschäftigt. Das Streben nach dem eigenen Raum bedeutet, ein kollektives Bewusstssein zu schaffen. Die Performance visualisiert die Dynamik zwischen zwei Identitäten. Auf der Suche nach dem eigenen Bewusstsein und der Zugehörigkeit gibt es Spannungen und Ruhe. Wenn aus zwei Identitäten eine wird, verlieren Körper ihr Gewicht.
Die Arbeit "Environment (Umgebung)" wurde im Rahmen der Ausstellung "BestOFF 2023" im Ars Electronica Center Linz gezeigt.
