Introducing "Vessel" my sculpture inspired by the Pandora myth. In this rendition, Pandora drinks the world's sorrows from a cup, which doubles as a tool for her exploration. This artwork aims to delineate both external and internal boundaries. It embodies Pandora's vessel and sacred depictions of women's bodies—always fertile, forever ornate, yet also representative of our everyday bodies. These bodies evolve, shaped by our experiences, both positive and negative. Despite the challenges, hope persists within them, though elusive in our surroundings.
Olga Shcheblykina is a visual artist from Ukraine. She works in painting and sculpture and is represented by Galerie Rudolf Leeb in Vienna. Her work is included in the Lentos Museum of Arts collection.
