New human-machine interactive interfaces

Considered as one of the leading art and technology schools in Europe, The University of Art and Design of Linz (Austria) provides a specific international master and research program in Interactive Digital Arts led by renowned artists Christa Sommerer and Laurent Mignonneau. A group of master students and researchers from the Interface Culture Lab will bring an immersive experience with tangible scores, edible synthesizers, sound graffiti, musical oranges and noisy jelly circuits, among others. The team led by Martin Kaltenbrunner (one of the four creators of the Reactable) propose an experience that seeks to challenge the traditional human-machine interaction with a new sensory and perceptual repertoire.

In addition to its presence at MarketLab, the designers of these unusual instruments will perform live at Sónar + D stage.
