Carolyn Amann ist Universitätsassistentin in der Abteilung Medientheorien und Teil des PhD Research Collective. In ihrem sprachkünstlerischen und medientheoretischen PhD Projekt „Superhuman. From Well-Being to Being-Good“ beschäftigt sie sich mit der Wirkungsweise von affektsensitiven Medien und Emotional AI im Rahmen einer Techno-Ökologie. Sie studierte Theater-, Film- und Medienwissenschaft an der Universität Wien und war am Schauspielhaus Graz, dem Schauspielhaus Wien und bei den Bregenzer Festspielen als Regieassistentin tätig. Seit 2014 verfasst sie Bühnenwerke für Sprechtheater und Oper. In ihren Performances verbindet sie lyrische und dramatische Texte mit Jazz und neuer Musik.
Carolyn Amann is a university assistant in the Department of Media Theory and part of the PhD Research Collective. In her language-artistic and media-theoretical PhD project “Superhuman. From Well-Being to Being-Good” she deals with the effects of affect-sensitive media and Emotional AI in the context of a techno-ecology. She studied theater, film and media studies at the University of Vienna and worked as an assistant director at the Schauspielhaus Graz, Schauspielhaus Wien and at Bregenzer Festspiele. She has been writing stage works for spoken theater and opera since 2014. In her performances, she combines poetic and dramatic writing with jazz and new music.
