Carolyn Amann is a university assistant in the Department of Media Theory and part of the PhD Research Collective. In her language-artistic and media-theoretical PhD project “Superhuman. From Well-Being to Being-Good” she deals with the effects of affect-sensitive media and Emotional AI in the context of a techno-ecology. She studied theater, film and media studies at the University of Vienna and worked as an assistant director at the Schauspielhaus Graz, Schauspielhaus Wien and at Bregenzer Festspiele. She has been writing stage works for spoken theater and opera since 2014. In her performances, she combines poetic and dramatic writing with jazz and new music.
