We greatly value people with energy, curiosity, and a desire to work and experiment at the same time. The program is aimed towards exploratory research for a better world. To this end, all students should acquire a high degree of flexibility and improvisational skills in strategies for a vehemently changing society.
The portfolio for admission should reflect one's own interest and represent the artistic, creative, or manual skills one feels like working on or developing further during one's studies.
To take the admission exam, you must register online.
You can find the dates for the entrance exam here:

The admission procedure consists of two parts.
1. Submission of a digital portfolio which must be uploaded to the registration platform by the submission deadline.
2. an exam (3-4 tasks) followed by an interview (discussion about the completed task, your interest and motivation for studying).
Considering the applicable Covid-19 guidelines, exams may take place online or in presence on site at the University of Art and Design in Linz and will be determined in advance.
After the admission deadline, we will inform you by email about the exact procedure (location, task, etc.).
