We coordinate all matters relating to art.research: starting with advice on project applications to funding bodies, cooperation with other universities and colleges, the organization of in-house events, internal networking with our centers and the coordination of all matters relating to the PhD programme, etc. etc.

One of our most important tasks is to support you in your search for possible funding and in submitting applications to funding bodies. We are happy to support and accompany you from the initial project idea to the completion of your research project!

Memberships and professional networks
We are a member of AURAM – Austrian University Research Administrators and Managers. This network was founded by Austria’s public universities with the aim of turning the spotlight on science and research. Transregional networking and a regular exchange of ideas are the cornerstones of our mission to focus on collective strengths and give new impetus to the university research landscape. By opening up new perspectives on current research topics, AURAM seeks to pave the way for future success and exciting innovations.

We are members of the European Association of Research Managers and Administrators (EARMA). Their members work at the forefront of building the European Research Area (ERA). We form the interface between research funding organisations and the scientific community, bridging cultural and legal differences between countries, and between academia and industry, contributing to policy consultations, and managing the smooth running of research projects. EARMA is an active member of the wider international RMA community and is a founding member of the International Network of Research Management Societies (INORMS).

SAR promotes practices of artistic research as undertaken both in and outside academic institutions. We facilitate co-operation and communication through conferences and meetings, and disseminate knowledge on artistic research practices and results.
