Master Programme textile.art.design

The Master's degree course in textile.art.design comprises four semesters and is based on the Bachelor's degree course in textile.art.design or an equivalent recognized course of study. With training in a wide variety of textile techniques, as well as in materials science and knowledge of project-related artistic processes, experimental approaches to the development of an individual design language are encouraged.
The consolidation of an artistic-creative working practice is made possible through the optional integration of textile techniques, the availability of craft skills, knowledge of surface and spatial design and the conception of design projects.
Two semesters are set aside for the development and consolidation of personal approaches. The freely chosen fields of work are placed in a theoretical discourse through the creation of texts and own critical analysis. The third semester is used for the conception and elaboration, the fourth for the completion of the Master's thesis in the form of an artistic work and the contextualization of this as well as the examination of the chosen subject area in written form.
