The exhibition presents the current artistic research project by Alexis Dworsky, Professor of Media Design at the University of Art and Design Linz. Dworsky is investigating architecture made of dry stone walls, so-called Mrgari, which can only be found on the Croatian island of Krk. Sheep used to be kept in them, but today they are falling into disrepair. Dworsky is therefore engaged in digital monument protection: virtual 3D models are generated from thousands of drone photos, which can be transformed into speculative futures using artificial intelligence.
