For many years, the guest lecture series Schnittstelle x has been inviting people who are active in design and the connection of different levels. Artists, designers, curators or writers who create relationships between design / image / photo with art / performance / research and a large media mix via various aspects in their work.

Vienna-based artist Claudia Larcher has presented her work in numerous exhibitions in Austria and abroad, including Annecy Film Festival, Anthology Film Archives in NYC, Ars Electronica Festival Linz, Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation Lisbon, Centre Pompidou Paris, Francisco Carolinum Linz, Gray Area Festival San Francisco, Kunsthalle Wien, Lo Pati Art Centre, Manifesta 13, Museum of Contemporary Art in Roskilde, Tokyo Wonder Site Japan. Larcher has received numerous awards, including the Kunsthalle Wien Prize 2008, the Outstanding Artist Award of the Federal Chancellery 2016, the Prof. Hilde Goldschmidt Prize 2019 and the Austrian Art Prize 2023.

Oliver Kartak works as a freelance designer and artist and is Professor of Design and Narrative Media and Dean of the Institute of Design at the University of Applied Arts Vienna. He has over 30 years of experience in brand identity, communication design, photography and film directing. Since 2022 he has been working intensively with AI image generation models.
