With the appellation “Unplugged” in its title, this exhibition at Bildraum 01 features designer Thomas Feichtner’s pencil sketches. Feichtner, in a reversal of the long-established tendency to visualize new designs using digital technologies, has rediscovered the special qualities of the “analog” hand sketch as a central element in his design process. The exhibited sketches—some of them showing unrealized products—present an unusual look at Feichtner’s day-to-day design work.

Above and beyond this exhibition, autumn 2015 will see the release of the eponymous publication Thomas Feichtner / Design Unplugged.

During the exhibition’s run, there will also be a talk followed by Absolut Vodka cocktails as part of Vienna Design Week: Prof. Thomas Feichtner in conversation with Prof. Martin Hochleitner, Salzburg Museum | Monday, 28 Sept., 5:00–7:00 p.m.
