In Medias Res - Media Composition Event

The cooperation of the Co.Lab Beta Now was created under the direction of Tina Frank / University of Art and Design Linz and Jorge Sánchez-Chiong / mdw (University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna).

Students from the University of Arts Linz and the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna are working together to develop improvised performance formats that bring together music and moving image.

On the evening of June 22, the mdw's Future Art Lab will be dedicated to media, composition and performance. The exhibitions and film screenings will begin at 4:00 pm. The live performances by students in the mdw's Klangtheater will begin at 7:30 p.m. The evening will conclude with live performances of audiovisual improvisations that have emerged from a cooperation between students from the University of Art and Design Linz and the University of Music and Performing Arts.

An evening full of electronic sounds and visual highlights, impressive synthesizer images and melodies, fascinating light installations, gripping video projections and much more.

A world in which art and technology merge and new, exciting dimensions of audiovisual performance are opened up.
