Advance recognition / proof of performance

The student must provide proof of advance recognition of the coursework planned abroad in the course of the application. The advance recognition refers to the individual study program at the partner university.

For the recognition of courses, it must be clarified with the responsible study administrator whether and in what form the foreign course offer can be credited.

You can also study at the partner university as part of the preparation for the Bachelor's, Master's or Diploma project

The preparation of the Diploma or Master's thesis must be registered with the study department, stating a 'working title'. The working title can be changed at any time after your return!

In addition, you need a supervisor at the University of Arts Linz who confirms the preparation of the final work/thesis.

The preparation of a Bachelor's thesis must be confirmed by the responsible study administrator.

All activities agreed in advance in the advance recognition notice and then successfully completed abroad should be awarded (ECTS) credits and fully recognized.

A minimum of 3 ECTS credits per month of study abroad must be recognized for the mobility grant.

This also applies at the University of Arts Linz when preparing to write academic/artistic theses (bachelor's, master's, diploma thesis, dissertation).

Irrespective of this minimum academic achievement, students should complete courses amounting to 30 ECTS credits per semester (equivalent to one semester's coursework).
