Circular building in practice. 18 student teams from 11 countries had the task of working on one of the three urban construction tasks in a specific old district in terms of planning and construction practice: Closing gaps between buildings, refurbishment and adding storeys, refurbishment and extension. All under the premise of sustainable, circular construction. The demonstration buildings in Wuppertal were erected accordingly on the exhibition grounds. Helmut Krapmeier and Jan Müller provide an insight into the topic and show some of the best ideas together with participants in the competition.
