"Meine künstlerische Arbeit behandelt folgende Frage: Welchen Dialog führst du mit dir und der Welt abseits einer kapitalistischen Steigerungslogik im Sinne von „Schneller, Besser, Mehr“? Resonanz sei laut Hartmut Rosa, Soziologe in Jena, die Essenz des menschlichen Lebens und das gelingende Leben sei eines, das man mit sich und der Welt in Resonanz führt. Diese Aussage wollte ich erkunden und befragte 19 mir bekannte und unbekannte Personen in Form von offenen, narrativen Interviews. Aus den zahlreichen Erzählungen formulierte ich 26 Geschichten, welche ich illustrierte. Aus den „Mikrogeschichten“ und den Illustrationen enstand ein Buch und eine große Wandmalerei. Das Projekt soll ein Beitrag zur Schulung des Bewusstseins und zur Erkennung von unbewussten Denk- und Verhaltensweisen sein." Martina Jäger
The artistic work addresses the following question: "What dialogue do you have with yourself and the world, away from a capitalist logic of increase, in the sense of faster, better, more?"
Resonance, according to Hartmut Rosa, a sociologist in Jena, is the essence of human life and the successful life is one that you resonate with yourself and the world. I wanted to explore this statement for myself at the beginning of the Covid19 crisis and interviewed 19 people, known and unknown to me, in the form of open-ended narrative interviews. From the numerous narratives, I formulated 26 "micro-stories" that I illustrated interpretively, assosciatively, and symbolically. The stories and the images resulted in a book and another two murals.
The project is intended as a contribution to the training of consciousness and the recognition of unconscious patterns of thought and behavior.
"My artistic activity and professional skills are in the fields of painting, graphics and photography. Great interest generates the experimental handling of materials, usually accompanied by thinking across scales. My approach to design usually has an illustrative character. Among my personal strengths are fantastic overall compositions, in which the relationship of color-shapes-forms is in the foreground."
Die Arbeit "Resonanz von A bis Z" wurde im Rahmen der Ausstellung BestOFF Sommerfrische 2023 gezeigt.
