The world of fashion is changing. In many cases, fashion becomes a disposable product under inhumane conditions. The idea of fashion in conjunction with technology quickly raises questions about privacy or ecology. Fashion & Technology sees technology as a catalyst for innovative and sustainable design solutions and alternative aesthetic concepts in the spirit of tolerance.
The aim of the training is to prepare the students for emerging requirements and job profiles at the intersection of fashion and technology.
During the course of studies, a link is made between modern and traditional technologies. The study cooperation partners bring technology to life for the students.
The students develop their own fabric in the Textile Center Haslach, learn to use the technologies behind wearables at the Linz Center of Mechatronics or present their work during a virtual show during the Ars Electronica Festival. Additionally, an international internship and workshops with experts in the fields of fashion design, photography, styling, PR, performance and technology provide a comprehensive insight into current developments in fashion.
