Art meets Energy in the PowerTower

To mark the 100th anniversary of the Partenstein power plant, Energie AG invited students from the University of Art and Design Linz to see for themselves on site. The result? Fascinating works of art.

For the students of the Co.Lab Acoustic Ecology at the University of Arts Linz, the Partenstein power plant was a unique source of inspiration. Under the guidance of Peter Androsch, they creatively explored the history and significance of the power plant. The resulting works reflect the students' very personal view of the Partenstein power plant. Whether intuitive, social, ecological or aesthetic - they all approached the Partenstein phenomenon in different ways.

The eleven artists' countries of origin are just as diverse as their approaches. They come from all over the world: Poland, Iran, Italy, Turkey, the USA and Austria. From sculptures and sound recordings to photographs and paintings, the students chose the artistic form of expression that best suited them.
