The multimedia works in the series “Lichte Substanz” reflect the interplay of ordered and chaotic systems in nature and examine how they generate life in their interaction. The works thematize a self-sustaining rhythm, fractures, and deformations, which viewers can relate to physically.
Helena Sekot uses and combines various materials and media. In her formal language, she balances opposing poles such as fragility and resilience.
