Students explore feminist protest cultures between theory and practice and make visible what is often overheard
The course organized by the AKG at the University of Arts Linz began as a practice-oriented examination of March 8 and developed into an intensive phase of feminist artistic research and performative practice. Within just five days of the start of the semester, workshops, performances, a diploma presentation, an art exhibition and performative interventions in public space were created, which were linked together in an overarching dramaturgical concept.
How does resistance emerge? What forms can feminist protest take?
This group exhibition, part of the Krawall Akademie, presents artistic works that explore strategies of resistance—process-oriented, self-organized, and decentralized. Through the intersection of theory and practice, students engage with feminist protest cultures, making visible what is often unheard.
