Once you have been accepted by your partner university, the International Office will inform you of the next steps by email. Among other things, you will need to create a digital Learning Agreement. You can find the instructions for this as a download (top right). You can find out what a Learning Agreement is in the paragraph below.
In the case of a stay as part of the preparation of the final work/thesis, the confirmation of the supervisor (form in the download on the right) must also be sent to the International Office.
The Learning Agreement refers to the individual study programme at the partner university and must be signed by all parties (art university, student and host university) before departure.
All activities (studies and internships) agreed in advance in the Learning Agreement and then successfully completed abroad should be awarded (ECTS) credits and fully recognised. It must be clarified with the responsible study administrator whether and in what form the foreign study programme can be recognised.
The respective programme administrator is responsible for the recognition of courses.
You can study at a partner university as part of the preparation of your final Bachelor's, Master's or Diploma project.
The preparation of the diploma or master's work/thesis must be registered with the study department, stating a 'working title'. The working title can be changed at any time after your return!
A minimum of 3 ECTS per month of the study visit must be recognised for Erasmus+ funding.
This also applies at the University of Arts Linz when preparing to write the final work/theses (Bachelor's, Master's, diploma thesis, dissertation).
If the credits/ECTS awarded for the thesis do not cover the entire period of residence, additional credits/ECTS must be earned in the form of examinations.
Irrespective of this minimum performance, the aim is for students to complete 30 ECTS credits per semester (this corresponds to one semester's study performance; one semester at the host institution then also replaces the entire workload of one semester at the home university).
