My experience / added value / outcome of the mobility:
At the XPUB Master course I did a workshop about robot vacuum cleaner hacking with Joseph Knierzinger how is working there. For me it was really interesting to see their working practice. I was really impressed about the motivation of the students and how much Output we generated in just a 2 days workshop. We are already planing to repeat the workshop in Linz this autumn and I really look forward to see how it works out with our students. To my great luck on Saturday the WDKA had an open day and I really could see a lot of the university and their Laboratories and Workshop which was also really interesting for me and I had a lot of talks and exchange with the people there. Also it was really nice in Rotterdam, because during my stay there have been the Rotterdam Art Week and I could visit a lot of great exhibitions.

I was really impressed how easy it was to organize this exchange. I had a bit the advantage, that I know Joseph how is working at WDKA, which made it a bit easier. When I first thought about doing the exchange I thougth it would not be possible, also with my situation as a father and a lot of work in my Institution. But then I realised, that I could do it in the semester break, because in that time it’s possible for my department if I am away, and also it was easier to organize with the care of my kid.I was also positive surprised how happy everybody was that such exchange takes place. I think most universities are really open to do this and we should all use these possibilities much more.I am really happy that I made it, and I am allready thinking about where to go next.
