June 7 and 26, 2024 Kirchham and Linz
In the 2024 summer term, the subject of Baukultur will be implemented as a performative setting in a rural and an urban context. Theoretical approaches will be applied in practice and presented with reversed roles. The aim is to gain a deeper understanding of the divergent functional systems and the different protagonists, because “building culture as a shared cultural achievement is not a private matter, but a physical reflection of our society. It describes the shape of our living space, but also the process of its creation, appropriation, use and preservation.” (english translation 2024, Reden wir über Baukultur, IG Architektur 2022)
- Performative Baukultur in Kirchham
- Performative Baukultur in Linz
A Perfect Process - studio urban and studio typologie explore the question of how the building of the Federal Office of Metrology and Surveying in Prunerstraße could become part of the University of the Arts? The Department of Building Culture intervenes selectively.
