Das CTM-Festivals in Berlin eröffnet sein diesjähriges Musikprogramm mit der aktuellsten Arbeit des Soundwalk Collective mit der amerikanischen Fotografin Nan Goldin und der Künstlerin Tina Frank.  "A Memoir Of Disintegration" ist eine Sound Komposition auf Basis von David Wojnarowiczs gleichnamigen provokativen Texten, die gesellschaftliche Randexistenzen der Untergrund Bewegung in New York während der 1980er Jahre beschreiben und festhalten. Rebellisch kämpfte der Künstler, Schriftsteller und Aktivist David Wojnarowicz als eine der stärksten Stimmen seiner Generation gegen Konformität und Materialismus.
Nan Goldin liest aus seinen Schriften und ist damit bestimmendes Teil der audiovisuellen Live-Performance, die als intensive und dunkle Reise über das Leben auf der Straße, über Drogen, Kunst, Natur, Politik, Freundschaft und Akzeptanz angelegt ist. Das Soundwalk Collective entwickelt eine dichte musikalische Live-Partitur aus Field Recordings der Stadt New York während Tina Frank eine visuell verflüssigte Form der Stadtwanderung auf der Bildebene zeigt.

CTM 2015’s music programme kicks-off with an Opening Concert on 24 January, with the latest work by Soundwalk Collective with American photographer Nan Goldin and Tina Frank, head of departmen Visual Communication.  "A Memoir Of Disintegration" is a sound composition based on David Wojnarowicz’s homonymous and provocative correspondence that explores and captures existence at the margin of society in 80’s underground New York City. Rebelliously struggling against conformity and materialism, multidisciplinary artist, writer and activist David Wojnarowicz was one of the most potent voices of his generation. An intense and dark journey over street life, drugs, art and nature, politics, friendship and acceptance, the live performance features Nan Goldin interpreting the most expressive excerpts of Wojnarowicz’s writings. Soundwalk Collective perform a live musical score thick with jarring physicality juxtaposed to a sound memento of field recordings from New York City throughout the past two decades, while Tina Frank shows imaginary liquefied wanderings through the city compatible with this dense performance.
