25. Okt. 2014 ,17.00 bis 22.00 Uhr studio das weisse haus, Kriehubergasse 24-26, Wien

Juliana Herrero , Universitätsassistentin bei raum&designstrategien, & Sissa Micheli laden zum "OPEN STUDIO DAY".

Juliana Herrero and Sissa Micheli invited each other to interact on each other’s work in both of their studios.
On occasion of the OPEN STUDIO DAY of das weisse haus both spaces will host a unique temporary set, which is interrelated.
Each artist is challenged to cross the limits of the own work by creating two temporary art pieces for one day.
The works deal with spatial, temporal, real and virtual dimensions.

Sissa Micheli's topographical objects originally designed for her photographs and videos deal with the interplay of movement and light. She explores kinetic energy in relation to its spatial and temporal dimensions. Artificially animated structures seem to challenge the physical rules of transformation. Working essentially with emergency blankets, her work revolves around the dichotomy and fusion of the notions of transience and duration.

Juliana Herrero’s floating landscapes concern themselves with questions about the concepts of infinity and the construction of realities. She focuses on the subtle limits of inner and outer worlds and explores their immersive boundaries through alienating and subversive strategies. Dealing with processes of change and with the context, her work crystalizes mostly on fragile installations that also become site specific.
