The mobility grant can be extended within the limits of the budget. A subsidized extension is only possible once.

The extension period must immediately follow and may not exceed the total duration of stay of 12 months (per study cycle in the BA, MA, PhD or analogously in the diploma program 12 months in the 1st section and 12 months in the 2nd section. ) must not be exceeded. Internships are included per cycle.

An extension can be applied for by email to the International Office.
 

Expiry of extension

Contactat least 2 months before the end of your stay abroad

• with the International Office of the host university
• with the International Office of the KUNI international.office@kunstuni-linz.at

Above all, you must clarify with your study administrator whether you still have courses available for credit transfer in the extension semester (at least 3 ECTS per extension month). 
If not, you must extend your stay as part of the "Preparation of the final work/thesis". For details see here

• from the study administrator or
• confirmed by the supervisor of the thesis
   

The extension is granted by the University of Arts Linz, which will provide an extension agreement for the mobility grant.
 

What else needs to be extended

• Insurance cover
• Visa (if required)
• ÖH contribution for the extension semester
• IPS of the province of Upper Austria if required
   

Recipients of study grants

The foreign grant from the study grant authority can be continued during the extension. Please contact the scholarship grant authority for the extension.
