Materials required for exhibitions, festivals, and other projects are not always reused. This is often not due to a lack of willingness but rather to time constraints and insufficient storage options. As a result, still usable materials end up being discarded. To address this, we are launching an initiative to facilitate the exchange of materials through a university-owned online platform.
From now on, materials, exhibition architecture, and work equipment can be exchanged, borrowed, or sold via the Material-Börse.
The Material-Börse (Material Exchange) is available to all members of the University of Art and Design Linz. This initiative aims to promote the responsible use of materials and foster awareness of resource value. The attached PDF provides detailed instructions on how to access, use, and make the most of the Material-Börse.

We encourage you to actively use and contribute to the Material Exchange. It may take some time before the first materials are offered, so we kindly ask for your patience and invite you to check the platform regularly.
The Material-Börse is a project by the Student Union of the University of Art and Design Linz – Sustainability Department – in collaboration with the Central IT Services of the University of Art and Design Linz. Special thanks go to Simon Bauer from the Central IT Services, who has supported this project with enthusiasm and patience.
